Joint Gurdon Institute/Department of Biochemistry Post-Doc Retreat (2010)

Friday 18th June at Robinson College, University of Cambridge

The aim of this retreat is to provide a forum for the post-docs to interact scientifically as well as socially, and focuses on both science and career development, with a different angle each year. For the first time, it will be a joint event between the Gurdon Institute and the Biochemistry Department. It will take place Friday the 18th of June, at Robinson College, Cambridge.

The morning will be dedicated to common career concerns of both Gurdon and Biochemistry post-docs. You will be offered the chance to attend three different workshops where you will have the opportunity to interact informally in small groups with experienced speakers. After the lunch break, the afternoon talks will provide an opportunity to learn and exchange technical skills. Finally the event will culminate with a BBQ sponsored by QIAGEN at the Gurdon Institute, to get to know your colleagues.
