Anne   Institute      child-microscope

In celebration of the 80th birthday of Anne McLaren, one of our Distinguished Group Leaders, the Gurdon Institute hosted a special Symposium.

Sadly, just over two months after the Symposium, on the 7th July 2007, Anne and her companion Donald Michie were killed in a road traffic accident. Messages of remembrance and links to obituaries can be found on the Tribute page.
