The lab belongs to the Cancer Research UK-funded part of the Wellcome Trust/Cancer Research UK Gurdon Institute along with groups led by Tony Kouzarides, Masanori Mishima, Eric Miska, Jon Pines and Phil Zegerman who work on various aspects of molecular cell biology related to cancer, the cell cycle, oncogenes and DNA repair.
Our group is part of the new Institute building situated in the heart of Cambridge, a short walk from the historic colleges of Cambridge University and adjacent to many of the University's science departments.

Research in the lab is funded primarily by Cancer Research UK, but we also have grants from the European Research Council, the European Commission and the Wellcome Trust.

In addition, a number post-docs and students in the lab have been awarded personal fellowships. Further information about sources of funding can be found here.

Over the next year or two Steve anticipates a number of posts to become available in the lab. He would welcome informal applications from suitably qualified PhD students and post-doctoral fellows. If you are interested in coming to work in the lab please email Steve.

If you have a general enquiry please contact Helen Reed, our secretary, and if you need reagents from us, please contact Linda Baskcomb, our lab manager.
