Travelling by car

PARKING - sadly there is no parking available at the Institute, but there are several public car parks within walking distance. The closest is Lion Yard (continue to the end of Tennis Court Road, turn right into Downing Street, and then first left). Map showing Institute & parking sites.

Arriving on the M11 motorway, exit at junction 11 and follow signs into Cambridge. Pass the Waitrose supermarket on the left. Continue on the same road all the way into the city passing through Trumpington (Shell garage on the left), several large private schools on the right, a piece of common land (see map) that often has cattle on the left. Ultimately, arrive at a pair of mini-roundabouts with a large hotel (The Royal Cambridge). Go straight ahead at the first roundabout, then immediately right at the second onto Lensfield road. Turn first left, after about 50 metres, into Tennis Court Road (this is one way!). The Gurdon Institute is the first building on the left.
