Audio-visual facilities in the Institute

Notes for speakers

Please feel free to bring your presentation on your own laptop or tablet, but please also ensure that you have appropriate adapters to connect to the projector in room where you will be speaking (see below).

In addition to the video conferencing equipment that is built into the Level 1 and Level 3 seminar rooms, the Computing Office holds an external (USB) webcam and speakerphone kit that can be used for Skype interviews etc in any of the rooms. 

There are four meeting rooms in the Institute:

Tearoom

  • Capacity: 123 with seats in rows - this room can be partitioned to form a smaller space for up to 50 seats in rows
  • Projector connections: VGA
  • White screen
  • Lectern with controls for screen, lighting, sound
  • Audio system with lapel microphone

Level 1 Seminar Room

  • Capacity: 10 seated around table; 20 seated in rows
  • Projector connections: Clickshare (USB)
  • Flat panel LCD display
  • Video conferencing equipment
  • Conference speakerphone
  • Whiteboard (stand-mounted)

Level 2 Seminar Room

  • Capacity: 15-20 seated around table; 45 seated in rows
  • Projector connections: Clickshare (USB), VGA, HDMI
  • White screen
  • Conference speakerphone
  • Whiteboard (mobile)

Level 3 Seminar Room

  • Capacity: 15-20 seated around table; 43 seated in rows
  • Projector connections: Clickshare (USB), VGA, HDMI
  • White screen
  • Flat panel LCD display
  • Video conferencing equipment
  • Conference speakerphone
  • Whiteboard (1x wall mounted, 1x stand mounted)
