European Researcher Night Festival Page

The Gurdon Institute regularly takes part in the annual, Europe-wide festival to celebrate science

European Researchers' Night is a mega event which takes place every year simultaneously in about 300 cities all over Europe and beyond. The event showcases the important contributions that researchers make in society in interactive and engaging ways with a range of hands-on activities, pop up talks, science comedy, music etc. for everyone. The event also promotes research and careers to young people and their parents.

In the past, the Gurdon Institute contribution to European Researchers' Night has included traveling to the London Natural History Museum with microscopes with specimens including may different cell types and discussions about cell division and how cells organise themselves in a tissue and what happens when this process goes wrong.
