Model organisms and systems at the Gurdon Institute

Each model organism or system used at the Gurdon Institute offers particular advantages for answering different research questions

We study normal development and cancer using several model systems, from yeast to human organoids. Having so many models used under one roof has proved very helpful for researchers who want to test findings in additional systems or quickly get up to speed on what they can gain from using a new model.

This diagram shows which model systems are currently used by each group  - but note that there are many ways to categorise this information and this is just one possible view.
