26.08.22.  Prof Steve Jackson is taking up the role of Senior Group Leader at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute, after three decades of impactful research at the Gurdon Institute.

In a message to Gurdon Institute members, Steve said:

“I write to express my deepest gratitude and thanks to you all – and your past Gurdon Institute colleagues – for allowing me to host my group in the amazing, supportive and scientific world-leading Gurdon Institute (and its predecessor) for over 31 years! During this time, which is over half of my life, I have gradually evolved with Institute support, from a very young and inexperienced group leader into a much older and significantly more experienced one.”

Steve will remain an Associate Group Leader at the Gurdon Institute and also retains his association with the Department of Biochemistry.  Read the full press release on the CRUK Cambridge Institute website.
